Driving to the south coast in August forty miles to Milford on Sea in the Hillman Estate
Fourteen summers later Tracy left home in a Kaftan and a velvet gown
Meeting a man who played in the band

When I was wearing size five shoes and after school she'd wrap me in her arms

and later when the drugs they gave her made her see spiders crawling up the walls
I held her hands and they were birds
